FeatherBoil

Overview
FeatherBoil is a refined and user-centric electric kettle designed to make everyday boiling effortless. This project, in collaboration with Breville at UNSW, focused on reducing the physical strain associated with traditional kettles by minimizing weight and optimizing ergonomics—without compromising performance. Through a process of user research, ideation, and hands-on prototyping, FeatherBoil was developed with the needs of elderly users, individuals with limited grip strength, and design-conscious households in mind. The final design features a lightweight body, intuitive handle geometry, and subtle visual cues to enhance usability and comfort. This project demonstrates my skills in human-centred design, CAD modelling, sketch development, and iterative prototyping, culminating in a clean, practical, and aesthetically balanced product solution.
