Sospiro Piccolo

Sospiro Piccolo is a compact cabinet designed for the Riva 1920 competition, extending the Sospiro collection into a smaller, more adaptable format. Built from solid walnut, it celebrates material integrity through visible grain, knots, and precise mitred construction. The design centres around a mechanically refined swing-out compartment for tableware, using a dual-hinge linkage and damped motion to create a smooth, controlled experience without electronics. Traditional dovetail drawers and concealed runners maintain a clean, timeless aesthetic, while modular internal dividers allow flexible organisation. Sospiro Piccolo is conceived as a long-lasting object, balancing craftsmanship, functionality, and thoughtful mechanical design.
